Two spreadsheet tools and a GAMS model used for our paper "On the economics of electrical storage for variable renewable energy sources", published in European Economic Review, https://doi.org/10.1016/j.euroecorev.2018.07.004. The file upload_data.xlsx includes all input data for the GAMS model. You need a GAMS license to run the model. We use CPLEX, but any other LP solver should also work. The GAMS model is called "MORITS". It represents a very much reduced version of the model DIETER, which is available under www.diw.de/dieter, and is also published here: https://doi.org/10.1016/j.rser.2016.11.09
